Strawberry Clafoutis

Strawberry Clafoutis

A classic french custard dessert featuring fresh, summer strawberries.

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients  

  • 1 tablespoon Vital Farms Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups strawberries, washed, stems removed, and halved
  • 3 Vital Farms Eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • powdered sugar, to garnish

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Butter a 2-quart baking dish. Scatter the strawberries evenly in the bottom of the dish, cut side down.
  • In a blender, combine the eggs, milk, sugar, flour, salt and vanilla blend until smooth. Pour over the strawberries and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until set and light golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly then dust with powdered sugar and serve.
