Buttered Apple Cider
Cinnamon, cloves, and a splash of rum make this the ultimate cozy drink. Cheers to sweater weather in a mug!
Ingredients
Butter Batter:
- 8 tablespoons Vital Farms Salted Butter, room temperature
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
- 1/4 teaspoon all spice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cocktail:
- 1 tablespoon butter batter
- 4 - 6 ounces apple cider, hot
- 1 1/2 ounces spiced rum
- whipped cream, for garnish
- fresh nutmeg, shaved, for garnish
- 1 apple slice, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the apple cider according to package instructions.
- In a mixing bowl add the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, all spice, and vanilla extract. Mix with a hand mixer on high until fluffy and smooth, about 2 minutes.
- In a warm mug add the butter batter and warm apple cider. Mix with a spoon until the butter batter is dissolved.
- Add the spiced rum and stir.
- Garnish with whipped cream, shaved nutmeg, and an apple slice. Enjoy!
